Meet at Days Hotel, Flatwoods, West Virginia for opening dinner. Trailer parking is available, so that cars may be carried by trailer to the meet.
Monday, May 25th
After breakfast, we’ll enjoy a drive to Weston for a visit to the Museum of American Glass and a tour of the Citizens Bank of Weston, a spectacular Art Deco building. Next we’ll drive to Stonewall Resort for lunch then drive to Snow Shoe, a major ski resort during winter months. Overnight at luxurious Soaring Eagle Lodge with a group dinner in the Embers Restaurant in the Lodge.
Tuesday, May 26th
This day we’ll drive to Cass and board a chartered train on the Cass Scenic Railroad, a former logging railroad for a trip up the slope of Back Allegheny Mountain to Whitaker Station with a catered box lunch at Whitaker. Then return to Cass by train and drive to Charleston.
Wednesday, May 27th
We’ll enjoy a guided city tour of Charleston including a visit to the state Capital. The building was designed by Cass Gilbert and is one of the outstanding Capital buildings in the United States.
Thursday, May 28th
Drive to Milton for a visit to Blenko Glass Company including a tour of the factory to watch the manufacture of hand-blown glass and the visitor center. Then we’ll visit the car collection of Bill Davis. Cocktails and dinner will be enjoyed at Edgewood Country Club overlooking Charleston and the Kanawha River valley.
Friday, May 29th
We'll take a tour from Charleston along the Ohio River and then back to Flatwoods. Our closing dinner will take place at Days Hotel in Flatwoods.
